Do you like to travel? I DO! And, when we do travel, I always look for the best deals possible.  Paying for 6 plane tickets, hotel stay, even restaurant costs all add up.  I plan WAY ahead of time.  6 months + so that I can get the very best deal.  HOTWIRE is one of my favorite sites to find travel deals.  I also use hotels.com and travelocity.  HOTWIRE offers deals directly to your inbox.  I  love that because Im one of the first to find out the best deals.   And we all know when there is a HOT deal, it tends to go really fast.  You can sign up HERE to get updates from Hotwire.   Our next family vacation is planned for the end of June.  We are headed to Missouri for a family reunion.  It has been planned for a year!!

Family Friendly Movie Night!

Walmart has teamed up with P&G to bring FAMILY FRIENDLY back to Prime time television! Tomorrow,  April 16 at 8/7c on NBC you can watch the movie Secrets of the Mountain.  You can preview the trailer HERE. Sounds like a great movie for the family!  A nice change for NBC.

Bass Pro Shop is offering some fun Easter Activities. Saturday & Sunday from noon to 3 pm. to make FREE Easter Decorations! You can also receive a 4×6 photo with the Easter Bunny between 11am – 3pm and go on an Easter Egg Hunt between 2pm – 3pm.

Head over to Michaels on Saturday (Apr 3) to decorate an Easter pail for your Easter Egg Hunt and MORE. 10a - 1p

St Patricks Day -- FREE MOVIE from Redbox - Reminder!

Did you celebrate St. Paddy's day today?? We did.  All 6 of us are wearing green!  I took the kids to a super fun playdate -- we tried our best to catch Leprechauns but they are super fast!  The Leprechauns left us some yummy candy and 4 Leaf clovers.  And, I LOVE the smell of the corned beef cooking in the crock pot right now. MMMM!!  How did you celebrate?

Two Great Reading Programs for Kids to Win PRIZES!!

Pizza hut offers an awesome incentive program for reading.  As a homeschooling family, you can sign your kids up. If they read and meet their goal for the month, you can give them a coupon for a free personal pan pizza!!! (they do this at many public schools already)  Head over HERE then select homeschool.

We also use a great program called BookAdventure.  My kids read books and then go online to take a quiz. When they pass the quiz, they receive points.  They can then turn in their points for prizes.  Our favorite is the FREE CANDY BAR from Rocky Mountain Chocolates, but there are other great prizes too. **This is for anyone, when my kids were in public school, we used it during the summer & spring break.  Now that we homeschool, we're on there 3 days a week! **

World Math Day 2010

My kids LOVE this so I thought I would share! World Math Day is March 3, 2010.
You can sign up now HERE and they can start practicing.


Students play at home and at school against other students around the world in live games of mental arithmetic. Each game lasts for 60 seconds and students can play up to 500 games, earning points for each correct answer. The students who answer the most questions appear in the Hall of Fame. Students cannot select their level but will move up as they progress. There are different age groups from ages 5 - 18!
