"As seen on Good Morning America and successfully adopted by thousands of subscribers, this easy-to-use system helps slash every household budget. Now more than ever, people are desperate to save money without scrimping on every little purchase or sacrificing their lifestyle. Like most Americans, stay-at-home moms Chrissy Pate and Kristin McKee spent the lion's share of their budgets on what they assumed to be static costs such as groceries and utilities. But when using traditional couponing and cheapskate guides didn't help their budgets shrink by a dime, Pate and McKee decided to come up with their own way to save.
Within a few months, their household expenses dropped by more than half-from spending $800 each per month to less than $350! only a few years after developing their "be centsable" system, Pate and McKee have helped thousands of subscribers save money without spending hours finding and cutting coupons, or giving up "extras" like travel and entertainment. In this prescriptive guide, these authors show how anyone can save thousands of dollars on cleaning supplies, pet care, toys, travel, and most importantly, groceries-without giving up healthy foods, favorite products, or the occasional splurge."

ReplyDeleteI installed a programmable thermostat to save on gas costs at night and when no one is home.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest savings is through couponing, but I also try to turn off the lights & unplug things as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't use your cell phone much, change it to a prepaid plan. Ten cents per minute when you only use it 30 minutes a month is way cheaper than even the least expensive cell phone plan.
ReplyDeleteI give my husband canned soup to sit in his drawer at work for those days when he forgets to bring a lunch for work, so he doesn't spend money eating lunch out. Of course I used coupons to buy the soup! ;-)

ReplyDeleteCloth diapers save us TONS of money... plus with couponing I can afford to buy the occasional pack of disposables for nights at Grandma's or weekend trips etc. I spent $400 for one-size grow-with-me cloth diapers when baby #2 was born. I am using them now for baby #3 who is about to turn 2. Then I'll sell them for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the price I paid for them. I have maaaaybe spent $100 on sposies in that time period.
ReplyDeleteI save money buy only buying when on sale and then only if I have coupons. Thanks! Lori W. icalledonjesus@aol.com

Pay everything in cash and not with a debit or credit card. Watch for things on sale. I buy all clothes for my little baby boy, who is 8 months, on clearance and have clothes for him until he will turn 4!

Whenever we go out to dinner we always choose a location I have a coupon for. I keep all of the restuarant coupons in my purse in a mini coupon holder for easy access!
ReplyDeleteMy tip is to take home leftovers from restaurants whenever you eat out! Definitely saves money/cuts costs and you can have lunch the next day or for family.

ReplyDeleteShared on FB. Did you know you can print your printables at least twice with most programs. Per IP address. So if you have two computers, or two log ons, that's four coupons. Join a coupon trading site and swap away! (www.swapmamas.com is a good one) :)
ReplyDeleteCoupon, coupons matched with sales, stockpile. Been doing this for 40 yrs. YaaHoo, it works. Retired and now really working harder.

Restaurant coupons save us a ton. So does getting the entertainment book for cheap and using things like bogos at local attractions.

change your printer settings to print 'fast' or greyscale, this will save on your ink and make it last longer.
ReplyDeleteAlso cut out going to starbucks, instead buy starbucks coffee and make your own at home. You'll be surprised at how much you will save.
Look at your bank statement to see where you are spending your money and what you can cut out.
