Merry Christmas!

Share

Traditions!

I thought I would share what our family does every Christmas Eve.  Our church service is at 5pm.  After church, we come home and make and decorate a birthday cake for Jesus.  Then, aunt Ruthie comes over  and we  head over to the Methodist Childrens Home where they have WONDERFUL Christmas lights & music. We roll down the windows & enjoy the sounds & sights of Christmas. When we arrive back home the kids each open one gift (always new PJ's) and we read The Night Before Christmas.  Then we tuck the two youngest kids into bed.  Aunt Ruthie then puts together & decorates a Gingerbread house with the two older kids. She is gifted with artistic abilities that my hubby and I DO NOT have.

In the morning, we decorate a small Hallmark Christmas tree together.
(the ornaments are put on buttons, I will have to take a picture to post)
Then we open gifts.  Breakfast is here with my husbands family, then for dinner we head to my brothers house to spend time with more family!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!

'For to us a child is born

to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.'
Isa 9:6
