I'm Here!

I'm so sorry I have not been posting as much as usual!  This time of year is so busy for our family as I'm sure it is for all of you as well!  We have quite a large family- I have 8 siblings and my husband has 3 siblings.  We have a large number of nieces, nephews, sister & brother in laws etc etc.  So shopping is quite hectic.  My daughter and I prefer making most of our gifts and that is what we have been doing today.  With the 3 other kids running around as well. :-)  Sunday we had a cookie swap with my sisters & mom.  Yesterday, my husband and I were able to grab a last minute sitter and finish up our shopping.  And now today, we have been baking & crafting.  Tomorrow will be more baking!  I promise to put a picture up of our finished products!   Im also trying to brainstorm with a few friends about what to do for our neighbors that lost their home last night........ Any ideas would be VERY helpful.  We do not know the family, except in passing.  I do know they have no little ones, just a child in college. 

OK, back to the deals, just wanted to update on why the blog has been so slow!!

    As for the neighbors- I bet you could prob pull from your stockpile an awesome huge basket of toiletries and household items. Things like toothpaste/brush, soap, shamp/cond, laundry detergent, cleaning items, garbage bags, and non perishable foods. It may not be glamorous stuff, but think like you were moving into your first apt. They will need everything. When I first moved, my boss and co workers got a large trash can and filled it with the above stuff and a $20 dish set from Walmart... just an idea. I bet you would be the only person to do that.

    I agree w/TanyaW above...they're going to need just the basics right now to get them by...how horrible around Christmas...let me know if you're needing anything to add to the garbage pail!
