Every couple months I run out of time and just need to do a shop without all the time it takes to plan with coupons. When that happens, I turn to Aldi!! I always find great deals on the things we NEED that don't usually go on sale or have coupons. Tonight, after a super busy weekend I needed to plan our weekly curriculum and had NO time to plan a big shopping trip, so I wrote down the meals we will have this week and figured out what we NEEDED for the week.
Here is what I got at Aldi for $30:
(4) Cans of kernel corn
(2) Loaves of bread
3 pounds of bananas
3 pounds of apples
1 can of apple pie filling
1 box of nilla wafers
2 large bags of pretzels
1 bag of imitation doritos (and I already had some-YUM!)
Eggs
bag of salad
large can of fruit
black beans
sloppy joe sauce
spaghetti sauce
a large frozen lasagna
a frozen family dinner: parmesan chicken
1 bag of egg noodles
4 cans of cream corn
1 can of green beans
1 large pack sliced cheese
1 large pack of sliced turkey/lunch meat
I then headed over to CVS for 2 gallons of milk (used a $5 gift card I won from Deb's blog-thanks Deb!!) and a posterboard for the kids project this week.
I will still hit up Publix before this sale ends to stock up on some free cereal, free candles, cheap brownie mix, cheap hershey syrup and some steamfresh veggies(love that stuff!)
