There are many ways to organize your coupons. Here is an explanation of the system I use:
I do NOT cut out all my coupons from the newspaper because I get MULTIPLE papers each week. Instead, I file my coupon inserts by date! Did you know that the date is typed on the spine of the insert? I didn't realize this for months! So, each week, I buy my papers, remove the inserts, and file them in hanging files, by date & insert name. For example, my labels for the paper I get on September 27th would read:
9/27 SS
9/27 RP
I have one folder full of 9/27 Smart Source and another for 9/27 Red Plum inserts.
I also have 2 Coupon Binders. One for FOOD items, one for NON-FOOD items. In my coupon binders, I keep any coupons that have been cut out, blinkies, peelies, printables etc. I use baseball card holders to hold all of my coupons and separate each section with a separator page and label. *tip-always be sure your expiration date is showing so it is easy to remove them as they expire*
You can categorize them however you like, whatever is easiest for you (example: beverages, dairy, breakfast foods, pasta & rice etc)
If you prefer, you could also check out Amazon's coupon organizer section HERE. There are lots of different organizers available to purchase there (or just browse and get ideas)
