We did this about 2wks ago. I actually ordered off the kids menu! The waitress told me as long as I ordered off of the kids menu it wouuld be free- my husband bought an adult meal for himself. :-)

This varies by location. My local IHOP is every Monday kids eat free, but I've been to others that didn't allow kids to eat free at all.
