I was at Target today and checked out their Halloween sale - NOT alot is left. The costumes were marked 90% off! Candy was 75% but there was NOT a big selection- 2 or 3 different kinds. Just letting you know in case you wanted to pick up some costumes for next year!

HOT Target Deal on DS & Wii Games

If you didn't already know, Target is now price matching!! I was in my local Target today and asked if they price match with BIG LOTS. I was told YES, but I need to bring in the ad and the items I get MUST match either the picture or the wording EXACTLY. It must be specific.

FRUGAL Christmas gift series.... Cookies in a Jar

Im going to be posting some frugal Christmas gifts over the next couple of weeks. These are free to cheap things and mostly home-made. I have also started a small store with Christmas gift ideas that can be bought online. I will only put the best deals in there and will let you know as I update it. I will put the link up soon!

This is my FAVORITE thing to make each year. Use a large Mason Jar, with a lid, you will need fabric or ribbon to decorate it and a small card to put the recipe!

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups Chocolate Morsels
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar

This is where you get unique, after the choc morsels, you can add in anything you choose, some things I have used are:

Rice krispies, m&m's, white choc chips, oatmeal, etc. (use red&white m&m's to make it super Christmasy!) You can also use cocoa krispies.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Place flour mixture in 1-quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in order listed above, pressing firmly after each layer. Close/seal lid and decorate with fabric and ribbon.

Make a super cute tag with the recipe on it:

PREHEAT oven to 375° F. Beat 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) softened butter or margarine, 1 large egg and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until blended. Add cookie mix, mix well, breaking up any clumps. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 2 dozen cookies
